MECH TECH J 1 (PAINTER/INSULATOR)
The Role
Clothes surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope, or stain using spray gun. Selects and mixes coating material; coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer using brush or roller. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- May require certification
Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Nice to have certification in coatings application
Skills
- Proficiency with spray guns and brushes
- Quality control monitoring skills
