The Meat Cutter performs various cuts for meat items in constant meat cutting with knife and/or saw machine.

Responsibilities

• Responsible with stocking merchandise in both the fresh and frozen cases
• Follows established department procedures for receiving incoming shipments
• Product pricing
• Ensures product's quality, protections, accuracy and proper rotation in coolers
• Rewraps meat packages as needed
• Constant meat cutting with knife and/or saw machine
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements
• Ensures great customer service

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED equivalent required; basic kitchen skills; familiar with food preparation; bilingual in English and Spanish.

Physical demands: regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle objects, tools or controls; vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus; work environment typical of an office and retail store with noise level ranging from quiet to loud; able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay

Pay scale: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour (individual pay determined by location, skills, experience, and education/training).
