Job Description

Perform general clean‑up and stock work in the Meat department and provide customer service. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully.
• Greet customers and provide them with good quality food.
• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods according to company standards, recipes, and policies.
• Perform required temperature monitoring and ensure product quality, freshness, and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and well organized; maintain clean, safe floors free from clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils in accordance with company and Health Department policies.
• Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
• Maintain equipment and facilities safely per company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable State and Federal laws.
• Operate cash register according to company procedures, as applicable.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.

Minimum Requirements

• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multi‑task, set priorities, present information professionally, and work with all organizational levels.
• Personal initiative and follow‑through to completion.
• Team player in a fast‑paced environment.
• Capability to work with cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate production equipment.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high‑paced and sometimes stressful environments.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, non‑confrontational, cooperative manner.
• Honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Dependable work record reflecting integrity.
• Previous experience in food preparation.
• Knowledge of employment practices, safety, and food‑handling regulations.
• Experience in grocery retail and customer service.
• Ability to make a clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Understanding of proper product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation.
• Experience operating cash registers (as applicable).
• Ability to provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
