Essential Job Functions

  • Aid in unloading merchandise.
  • Transport stock to storage areas.
  • Open cartons and price items accurately (if needed).
  • Keep shelves stocked according to tag allocations.
  • Build store displays.
  • Rotate perishable merchandise and remove out-of-code products as needed.
  • Control levels of damaged goods.
  • Clean and sanitize the meat preparation room.
  • Present assigned section neatly before leaving at the end of the shift.
  • Observe and comply with department policies and procedures.
  • Greet customers and be observant.
  • Maintain a neat appearance according to the company's dress code policy.
  • Abide by all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Supplemental Job Functions

  • Maintain the price and protection programs.
  • Perform housekeeping in sales and backroom areas.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

  • Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise and maintain inventory.
  • Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds forty percent (40%) of the time.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Compensation

$15 - $17 per hour
Sunday: $1 premium
