As a Meat Clerk, you'll answer questions, recommend cuts, and ensure our meat cases are full, fresh, and ready for guests. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service at the meat counter and on the sales floor, including fulfilling special orders and answering product questions.
• Maintain fresh, well-stocked displays by inspecting, rotating, and replenishing meat products and supplies.
• Ensure regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and provide adequate notice for occasional absences.
• Collaborate with the team and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively engage with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates. Utilize strong written and verbal skills to work with a crew in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Safety: Willingness to learn food safety standards, proper equipment usage (e.g., slicers), and inventory practices.
• Multitasking: Ability to stay customer-service focused in a busy retail grocery environment.
• Safety Mindset: Understanding of safety and food safety practices, with a commitment to following them. Includes proper training on equipment (slicers, lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler, etc.).

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Stand in one place for long periods, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
• Full range of upper body motion.
• Lifting up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (freezers, coolers, kitchens, sales floor).
• Repetitive motion of hands and wrists.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

This is a part-time or full-time position with varying shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
