Meat Clerk

About the role

The Meat Clerk II is responsible for providing meat preparation services for customers, filling the service counter and self-service cases, and assisting guests at the counter. This role uses meat operating tools and equipment up to 60% of the time. In stores featuring a Smokehouse, the Meat Clerk II assists the Smokehouse Manager by creating superior sausage and other smokehouse products.

The Meat Clerk II ensures continuous delivery of exceptional guest service, maintains superior quality and freshness of all meat, seafood, and fresh smokehouse products, educates and assists customers at the meat and seafood service counter, and creates a fun and friendly atmosphere. Responsibilities include actively engaging guests through freshly prepared product samples and suggestive selling, ensuring meat and seafood cases are fully stocked, and understanding all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
