About the role

A student with phone app development skills is sought to develop a user-friendly app that recreators or community members can download and use to report occurrences of non-native/invasive plants on the McDonald-Dunn Research Forests.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a mobile application for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Ensure the app is intuitive and accessible for community members and recreators.
  • Implement functionality to allow users to report locations and details of non-native/invasive plants.
  • Integrate with existing databases or mapping systems, if applicable.

Requirements

  • Experience with mobile app development (iOS and/or Android).
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native).
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
