Measurement Technician - Natural Gas

Maintained Duties

• Maintain and operate facilities in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures.
• Perform periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to quality and quantity determination.
• Install instrumentation and equipment in new and renovated measurement and/or regulation facilities.
• Inspect and maintain all pressure and volumetric control equipment.
• Collect gas samples in compliance with partnership safety and industry guidelines.
• Participate in partnership safety program and initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Is commensurate with the selected job level:
• Level C: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.
• Level B: 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.
• Level A: 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.

Required Knowledge

• Detail knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, NEC, AGA, API and GPA requirements and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
• Some college or technical trade school is preferred.

Working Conditions

• Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Driving, walking, standing frequently.
• Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting.
• Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
