Measurement Analyst I/II - MI, OK, PA or TX
Job Summary
The Measurement Analyst role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, interpreting and correcting hourly measurement data on a real-time basis. This role can be performed from one of our offices in Detroit, MI; Tulsa, OK; Canonsburg, PA; New Milford, PA; or Houston, TX.
Key Accountabilities
- Validate accuracy of measurement data and assist in the resolution of balance discrepancies and issues
- Review third party measurement data for data comparisons
- Work in conjunction with third parties including purchasers, pipelines and transporters to resolve measurement discrepancies
- Work closely with and provides input to measurement field personnel to resolve balance discrepancies
- Use measurement data system: (FlowCal) tools and reports to analyze gas sample data and review field reports such as test reports (TESTit) to track calibrations, plate changes, prove reports, etc.
- Provide analytical and technical support to scheduling, accounting, operations and field personnel
- Maintain meter information in measurement data system for assigned assets
- Communicate and work with field technician to resolve missing data
- Maintain meter calibration, gas sampling and prove schedules
- Utilize data analytics tools to perform trend analysis and volume comparisons
- Generate reports to comply with data requests, external inquiries, and audit inquiries

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- 3 years of job-related experience (for Measurement Analyst II only)
Knowledge of gas measurement fundamentals including standards, policies, and procedures
Experience reviewing and correcting gas measurement data, analytical review of gas measurement data, balance configurations and volumetric data
Intermediate skills in Microsoft programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, other data analytics software
Understands and has ability to generate and interpret/analyze graphical trends, and correlations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must display solid written and verbal communication skills.
Must have intermediate math and analytical background/skills and ability to acquire working knowledge of tables/data structures that support internal systems.
Takes initiative to thoroughly investigate losses or gains on physical pipeline balances.
Team player able to build working relationships with all kinds and levels of people
Ability to collaborate with the team members for both educational and problem-solving purposes.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities may shift rapidly

Preferred Qualifications
- An associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
- Experience with FlowCal, TESTit, or other measurement system software
- 2+ years of gas industry and/or gas measurement experience preferred
