About the role
Prepares hot and cold food for patients, café food service, Leon Community Meal Site, and other meal programs using approved menus and recipes. Requires strong presentation skills and the ability to create appetizing dishes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of meal preparation
- Stock food and supplies
- Clean and wash dishes
- Prepare desserts
- Roll silverware
- Assist with special events as directed by the Dietary Director
- Cross-train throughout the dietary department
Requirements
- 2+ years of health care food service experience strongly preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred; or must obtain within one year of employment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically
- Basic experience with Excel preferred
