MDU/Commercial Installer

Duties

• Punches in on time and is available for work at the beginning of each workday.
• Communicates with Coordinator and customer contact to determine route, placement and termination of coaxial and fiber optic cable on customer premises.
• Loads and maintains necessary equipment and material stocks onto the assigned vehicle.
• Runs coaxial and fiber optic cable according to Company standards and local building code.
• Sets backboards, lockboxes, equipment racks, and/or pedestals as necessary.
• Run EMT, CRM, or other conduits as necessary.
• Learn to splice coaxial and fiber optic cables.
• Act as the final Company contact, cleaning up jobsite, noting any deficiencies, and otherwise making sure the customer is content before leaving the job site.
• Read and check prints.
• Clean vehicles, equipment and shop.
• Follow all safety regulations and standards.
• Notifies supervisor of any unsafe equipment or working conditions.
• Attends safety meetings as required.
• Performs any other duty or assignment as may be assigned, from time to time, by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Education Requirement: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• Experience Requirement: Read and interpret engineered drawings
• Licenses or Certifications: None
• Physical Requirement: Sitting, standing, hand dexterity, speaking, clear vision and hearing, the ability to lift and carry 75lbs.
• Mental Requirement: Ability to follow procedures in an organized fashion
