We are seeking a seasoned MDS professional to join our team in Massillon, Ohio. This is an on-site, full-time position designed for an MDS expert who can confidently lead the assessment process and support quality resident outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Complete and oversee MDS assessments accurately and on time
- Coordinate Medicare and PPS assessments
- Ensure compliance with CMS and state regulations
- Drive Case Mix optimization and reimbursement accuracy
- Monitor Quality Measures and identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and support survey readiness
- Stay current on MDS regulations and reimbursement changes
Requirements
- Current RN or LPN license in Ohio
- Extensive experience as an MDS Coordinator in a skilled nursing or post-acute setting
- Strong knowledge of MDS 3.0, RAI process, PPS, PDPM, Case Mix, and Quality Measures
- Excellent assessment, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
