MDI Mechanic - 3rd Shift

About the role

The MDI Mechanic - 3rd Shift position at Cipla InvaGen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Fall River, MA is a full-time hourly role with a range of $20 - $24 per hour. This position operates on a 11:00 pm – 7:30 am schedule.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform all functions according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot process equipment as required, including electrical, pneumatic & electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain operating machines and correct any malfunctions.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Select and collect parts required for repair from storeroom.
• Work with other mechanics to set up, troubleshoot, and repair process equipment.
• Responsible for "Downtime", "Change Over Time", "PM's" and "Productivity" results.
• Complete PM’s in the required amount of time to maintain equipment efficiency.
• Communicate possible deterioration of equipment by using the parts logbook and the troubleshooting form – “One Point Lesson”.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area with all automatic equipment 100% functional.
• Follow safe procedures when repairing or maintaining equipment. Use Log Out/Tag out and all required safety equipment.
• Recommend equipment maintenance improvement to reduce cost and safety hazards.
• Restart machines in a short period of time when required by business needs.
• Provide immediate feedback to Supervisor on unsafe equipment or working conditions.
• Adhere to CIPLA Safety, Health and Environmental policies.

Requirements

Highschool diploma or GED, 2-4 years of experience in packaging with knowledge of repairing and maintenance activity and qualifications, preferably in a pharmaceutical company.

Skills/Competencies

• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Packaging Area Standard Operating Procedures and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good basic math knowledge and excellent attention to details.
