The role carries firmwide scope and accountability, with responsibility for driving operational excellence, governance, execution discipline, financial stewardship, business process standardization, and strategic delivery across Blackstone’s global corporate real estate platform.
Responsibilities
Reporting Line & Global Scope
Report directly to the Global Head of CRES and serve as a senior member of the global CRES leadership team.
Maintain global remit across Blackstone’s corporate office portfolio spanning the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.Operational Leadership, Governance & Compliance
Act as the senior operational partner to the Global Head of CRES and regional CRES leaders, translating strategy into clear priorities, operating plans, governance routines, KPIs, and management reporting.
Conduct diligence on existing processes and implement programmatic improvements to align workflows, socialize standards, and embed durable operating discipline with a keen eye on opportunities to implement appropriate AI across the CRES enterprise.Portfolio, Program & PMO Execution
Oversee, in partnership with the Global Head of CRES and regional GCS leaders, the global portfolio of CRES initiatives, including developments, relocations, expansions, consolidations, major renovations, and workplace transformation efforts.
Lead the CRES Program Management Office (PMO) and implement consistent project controls, delivery policies, approval pathways, reporting requirements, and governance disciplines across regions.Financial Stewardship: OPEX & CAPEX
Provide senior-level oversight of global operating expenses and capital investment across the corporate real estate and workplace portfolio.
Partner closely with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, accounting policy compliance, multi-year capital planning, and financial approval governance.Vendor Management & Strategic Partner Governance
Partner with regional GCS leaders and Global Procurement on sourcing strategy, vendor pipeline management, onboarding, contract negotiations, and service performance improvement.
Maintain visibility into vendor performance and drive accountability through consistent metrics, scorecards, review cadences, issue tracking, and escalation protocols.Reporting, Analytics & Executive Communications
Leverage the CRES PMO to prepare executive-level updates, presentations, business cases, briefing materials, portfolio updates, operating dashboards, and governance materials that clearly communicate recommendations to senior leadership.
Synthesize complex operational, financial, portfolio, occupancy, and project data into clear insights that support decision-making, prioritization, and long-term business value.Global Team Leadership & Development
Lead, influence, and develop CRES regional and functional leaders, reinforcing high standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, and ownership.
Establish operating rhythms, resource models, role clarity, escalation protocols, and performance measures appropriate for a global, matrixed organization.
Qualifications
15+ years of progressive leadership experience across corporate real estate, workplace strategy, operations, finance, governance, operational excellence, transformation, commercial real estate advisory, or large-scale program delivery.
Demonstrated experience leading global portfolios, operating models, programs, teams, and governance routines within large, complex, matrixed organizations, preferably with a minimum employee base of 5,000+ FTE.
Strong working knowledge of corporate and commercial real estate fundamentals, market dynamics, facilities operations, occupancy planning, portfolio analytics, lease structures, and real estate accounting standards.
Deep experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving senior stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, Technology, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and regional leadership.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, presenting complex analysis, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
