As Senior Director, Business Strategy - Corporate Real Estate (CRE), you will serve as a trusted partner to the CRE leadership team, shaping business-level priorities, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and translating strategy into measurable outcomes. You will lead high-impact, visible initiatives that create Enterprise value in through the next era of retail Leveraging advanced analytics and AI-driven insights, you will identify opportunities that automate and augment modern workplace environments while demonstrating fast adoption. You bring strong stakeholder management capabilities, applying structured, strategic problem-solving, and compelling data storytelling to influence outcomes at the executive level. You thrive in ambiguous environments and lead initiatives end-to-end, balancing strategic vision with disciplined execution.
About The Team
The Corporate Real Estate team is responsible for delivering workplace experiences and environments that support Walmart's associates and business objectives. The team collaborates with cross-functional partners and external stakeholders to manage a dynamic portfolio of spaces, drive transformative projects, and establish workplace standards across the enterprise. Through initiatives such as Walmart's New Home Office, the team is helping shape the future of Walmart's workplaces by creating connected, flexible environments that foster collaboration, innovation, and growth.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders across Walmart to ensure collaboration and partnership on joint initiatives
- Engage external and internal partners to support strategic initiatives and market-facing priorities
- Facilitate executive-level discussions, workshops, and decision forums to drive alignment and outcomes
- Develop high-quality executive deliverables including strategy decks, business cases, memos, and talking points
- Translate complex analyses into clear, concise insights and recommendations for senior leadership
- Establish consistent strategic messaging for CRE initiatives and ensure materials are tailored to the audience
- Partner with Finance and CRE leaders to develop business cases, scenario analyses, and ROI frameworks for major initiatives
- Synthesize market, competitive, and internal performance insights to inform CRE strategy
- Track progress against established metrics and develop executive reporting on outcomes and value delivered
- Identify risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs; drive decisions and execution follow-through
What you'll bring
- 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate finance, management consulting, or a related strategic role, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field; MBA preferred
- Experience leading, developing, and managing a team of direct reports, driving deliverables aligned with organizational goals
- Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with measurable outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across functions and levels
- Strong communication skills with advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and data analysis; experienced in leveraging AI tools to synthesize insights, enhance storytelling, and drive more informed, data-driven decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 7 years' experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area OR 9 years' experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area
- 3 years' supervisory experience

Pay
- Annual salary range: $130,000.00 - $260,000.00
- Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock
