MD Field Appraiser

About the role

This position is responsible for delivering high-quality onsite appraisal services for auto property damage claims. The role supports related claim processes such as subrogation, salvage, total loss evaluations, and SIU referrals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct photo-based and onsite vehicle inspections to assess auto property damage.
• Prepare detailed, accurate estimates using approved estimating platforms.
• Identify repair needs and negotiate with repair facilities.
• Ensure prompt and timely resolutions according to company goals and guidelines.
• Conduct onsite supplement reviews with repair facilities.
• Evaluate total loss vehicles per company guidelines.
• Handle special projects as needed.
• Adhere to compliance training to meet state and federal laws.
• Continued education to hold and maintain required licenses.
• Work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Serve as a technical resource for claims personnel and assist with complex claim scenarios.
• Build strong working relationships with repair facilities, vendors, and internal teams.

Requirements

• Must live in the Miami, Florida area.
• 5 years of P&C insurance background with a minimum of 3 years automotive appraisal experience.
• Significant knowledge of repair and total loss techniques and statutory requirements are necessary.
• Spanish-English bilingual proficiency.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must live in the Miami, Florida area and is able to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.

• Strong technical expertise in damage assessment, estimating platforms, negotiation, and claim resolution.
