- Pay Scales: Specific pay scales vary based on location and qualifications. For example, in NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA, the range is $56,701 to $102,219. In NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME, the range is $51,546 to $92,927. In UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV, the range is $46,392 to $83,634. In CA, the typical hiring range is $71,514 to $87,406.
About the Role
This role requires strong knowledge of collision-related auto repairs and estimating, experience with computerized appraisals using Mitchell, CCC, and Audatex platforms, effective communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other tools.
Qualifications
A minimum of a high school diploma is required, with 2 years of undergraduate coursework or formal technical training preferred. I-Car (Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair) and ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are a plus.
Experience
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in automobile appraisal is required, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of collision-related auto repairs and estimating is essential. Experience with computerized appraisals using Mitchell, CCC, and Audatex platforms is required. Excellent communication skills are necessary to manage relationships with both internal and external customers and vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other software is also required.
