McWane Ductile-New Jersey Clean Up Crew Night Shift

About the Role

3rd Shift Clean Up Crew position in the Melting, Casting, Finishing, and Plant Maintenance areas. Pay rate between $24.38 and $27.38 per hour, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Responsibilities

• Melting Area:
  • Clean pig bed and transfer ladle pits and any other areas assigned by supervisor.
  • Work with supervisor if ladles need to be repaired before the production run.
  • Communicate supervisor/s on issues that arise.
• Casting Area:
  • Communicate with supervisor/s or specific production issues on cleaning certain areas of machines.
  • Ensure all machines are clean and ready for production time startups (e.g., puller beds, machine beds, ladle areas, walkways).
  • Ensure up and over area is clean.
  • Ensure ladles are on machines in a timely manner to meet time hacks for production machine startups.
  • Communicate with supervisor on specific tools and equipment needed for cleanup tasks.
• Finishing Area:
  • Communicate with supervisor/s on tasks needed outside of normal cleanup duties (via email, verbal, or text).
  • Follow cleanup check sheets and hand them to the finishing department nightly.
  • Communicate all issues and work orders in a timely manner.
• Plant Maintenance:
  • Coordinate with supervisor/s when issues arise regarding tasks on machines (e.g., crane usage for cleanup).
  • Communicate work orders promptly for Casting, Hotline, Cement line, and Paint line.
  • Assist in signing lockout/tagout (LOTO) forms for maintenance employees.
• Safety:
  • Complete monthly safety requirements.
  • Complete safety paperwork assigned from all departments that cannot be done during production hours.

• Must have verifiable and consistent work experience.
• Must be able to interact with all personnel levels in a professional, respectful manner.
• Ability to read policies, procedures, and follow all work directives and safety procedures.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
