KBR is seeking an Engineering Generator Mechanic to support the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program – Philippines (MCPP-PHIL). This role is critical in maintaining the operational readiness of equipment and systems that enable rapid deployment and sustainment of Marine Air Ground Task Forces (MAGTFs).
About the Role
The Engineering Generator Mechanic will perform installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and systems in support of MCPP-PHIL. This position reports directly to the MCPP-PHIL Engineering Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance functions for MCPP-PHIL and MCPP-PHIL Organic equipment in accordance with the contract Statement of Work and Marine Corps policy.
- Perform maintenance actions including repairing, adjusting, servicing, and storing electrical equipment and systems.
- Support equipment readiness, maintenance shop organization, and control of maintenance assets.
- Provide advice on all matters relating to fuel systems maintenance.
- Review invoices and requisitions to plan work activities.
- Maintain proficiency in all maintenance functions.
- Inventory repair parts and equipment, and requisition replacement stock.
- Provide requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Comply with personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and government regulations.
- Adhere to established safety regulations and methods for handling and storing equipment and materials.
- Follow MCPP-PHIL ISO policies, work specifications, and time schedules.
- Interpret specifications, drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree or coursework toward a BS degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, professional certification, formalized training, or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
- Four years of progressive experience with specialized knowledge of maintenance and logistic support activities involving generator systems maintenance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess a valid state Motor Vehicle Driver’s License.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
- Must be able to obtain a work visa and Alien Employment Permit for the Philippines.
- Must pass an FBI Background investigation with no criminal, civil, or security violations.
Preferred Qualifications
- USMC MOS 1142.
- Understanding of Marine Corps policies, regulations, and orders.
- Industry Certification.
- Working knowledge of military storage procedures.
- Expert knowledge of general maintenance procedures for military tactical equipment and supplies.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
