About the role
The Maintenance Technician role is located at McMinnville Creamery in McMinnville, OR. Shifts are 6 am-4:30 pm, Sunday - Wednesday. This is an hourly position with a 3% annual incentive bonus based on cooperative and individual performance. The role is safety-sensitive.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on stainless equipment, including welding preferred.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to complete PM’s, WO’s and WR’s generated daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually, by hours and 2-year timely and properly per the instructions.
- Maintain routine maintenance on various pumps and valves within the creamery.
- Assist with routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Perform electrical maintenance, as appropriate for ability under direction of Lead or Manager.
- Request for parts and supplies needed in written form via email or through CMMS.
- Operate and manage wastewater Dissolved Air Filtration system to be in compliance within the wastewater discharge permit.
- Follow safety, quality assurance and other company policies and practices required as an employee of this company.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid the Maintenance Manager or Lead with selecting contract help for equipment, electrical and building repair, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in maintenance trade or at least three years of experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance preferred.
- Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 60 lbs, occasionally lift up to 80 lbs with assistance, and ability to push/pull objects up to 2500 lbs using material handling devices.
- Must be able to lift and carry 60 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Ability to frequently bend, twist/turn, reach above shoulders, and climb throughout shift as needed.
- Verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow instructions and to clearly express ideas in a concise and professional manner.
- Experience with operating Powered Industrial Equipment: forklifts, scissor lift, boom lift and associated fall equipment.
- Knowledge of ladder logic computer controls preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic computer skills required, with experience in Microsoft suite, data entry and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ability to work holidays, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Understanding of Pasteurize Milk Ordinance & Good Manufacturing Practice’s preferred.
- Experience with boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, process equipment, VFD’s maintenance and repair preferred.
- Ability to organize, prioritize workload, and multitask.
- Knowledge of Pasteurize Milk Ordinance (PMO) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred.
- Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical codes and regulatory standards preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment and work independently.
Pay
The base hourly wage range is $24.68 per hour - $29.92 per hour. This position also receives a $2.00 per hour shift premium between the hours of 6pm and 12am, a $3.00 per hour shift premium between the hours of 12am and 6am or this position receives a $2.00 per hour shift premium on Saturdays and Sundays. This hourly wage range is exclusive of fringe benefits.
