Job Purpose/Summary

Provides weekly individual and family psychotherapy to adults with mental health diagnosis, or are at the onset of mental illness, and may be experiencing a family disruption or school problem. Ensures compliance with productivity standards set by the Services Coordinator.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Schedule and follow up on clients for weekly sessions.
  • Provide support staff with information for appointment reminder calls.
  • Attend monthly treatment team meetings.
  • Discuss options/goals for clients receiving services.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
  • Attend doctor appointments as needed.
  • Embrace key values of clinical services: empowerment, normalization, rehabilitation, and continuity of care.
  • Works in a multi-disciplinary team approach to meet the needs of consumers.
  • Attends supervision on a weekly basis without tardiness.
  • Attends administrative team meeting on a monthly basis without tardiness.
  • Responds to all flags, emails, and voicemails within 2 business days.
  • Completes all documentation in compliance with CARF and SSOC standards.
  • Maintains a 90% benchmark for Crisis Plan completion.
  • Submits all progress notes within 2 days of the occurrence.
  • Completes treatment plan during first 30 days of treatment and at six month intervals.
  • Monitors treatment effectiveness and compliance, including assistance with medication.
  • Completes 15% chart sample evidences in notes addressing medication compliance with the client.
  • Completes 15% of chart sample indicating consistency between client's goals and assessment.
  • Completes 15% of chart sample indicating consistency between services and treatment goals.
  • Completes 15% of chart sample indicating client involvement in treatment.
  • Completes 15% of chart sample indicating positive outcomes from services.
  • Completes 15% of chart sample indicating services related to treatment objectives.
  • Completes 15% of chart sample demonstrating documentation and treatment plans are reviewed and updated according to SSOC guidelines.
  • Links clients to appropriate community supports, agencies, or services.
  • Completes 15% of chart sample demonstrating therapist's knowledge of community resources and adequate linkage.
  • Completes expected productivity as outlined at the beginning of each month.
  • Submits a minimum of 128 face-to-face contact hours per month.

Typical Working Conditions/Environment

Office-based at the McMinn County Center.

Compensation

Starting salary for this position is approximately $51,137/year based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule

Primary working hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.

Travel

This position requires utilizing a personal, dependable vehicle to conduct Center business.

Equipment/Technical Competency

  • Utilize a computer to access medical records system on the network.
  • Type notes and documentation for services within a timely manner to maintain billing schedule.
  • Utilize phone systems.
  • Have familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.

Qualifications

  • One year experience in a human services or related field preferred.
  • Master's degree in Human services or related field, with course work or experience in cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and intellectual disabilities.
  • License eligible degree.
  • Exposure to biological hazards.
  • Hearing of normal and soft tones.
  • Close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
