Crisis Response
- Respond with EMS to behavioral health-related 911 calls in homes, public settings, healthcare facilities, shelters, schools, and other community locations.
- Conduct crisis assessments, including suicide, homicide, violence, self-injury, and substance use risk.
- Provide crisis counseling, emotional support, stabilization, and evidence-based de-escalation using trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and culturally responsive practices.
Clinical Decision Making
- Determine the least restrictive clinically appropriate level of care and develop collaborative safety plans when appropriate.
- Collaborate with EMS, emergency departments, police, DMH, CBHC Open Access, outpatient providers, and community partners to support safe transitions of care.
- Identify opportunities to safely divert individuals from emergency departments through connection to community-based services.
- Facilitate referrals to CBHC services, MCI follow-up, outpatient behavioral health providers, substance use treatment, peer recovery supports, primary care, housing, and social service agencies.
Documentation
- Complete required MCI documentation within established timelines, including assessments, interventions, risk assessments, safety planning, disposition decisions, and referrals.
- Maintain documentation and communication in accordance with CBHC, MassHealth, DMH, and agency standards.

SCHEDULE: MONDAY - FRIDAY 12PM-8PM

Travel
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation that meets CFS Driver Policy.
- Travel is required to provide services in different settings and to attend agency meetings, events, and trainings.
