MBSE Systems Engineer

VTG is seeking an MBSE Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities

• Develop MBSE‑based processes to support corporate systems engineering needs.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to senior managers on creating and implementing new MBSE methods and techniques.
• Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of systems and processes using MBSE tools.
• Participate in collaborative meetings between MBSE users and the tool development team to communicate modeling needs and help innovate potential solutions.
• Define and demonstrate data standards and technologies required to manage data needs, coordinating with teams that support enterprise MBSE tool maintenance and integration.
• Ensure solutions meet the needs of new modeling standards.

Qualifications

• General Requirements (all levels)
  • Background/understanding of development of requirements, CONOPS, architectures, and other systems engineering artifacts.
  • Knowledge of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Good communication skills and ability to work closely with teammates and stakeholders.
  • Must have TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Experience with SysML, UML, or other industry‑standard modeling languages.
  • Experience with UAFP is desired.
• Level I – BS, 0‑3 years experience
  • OCSMP Certification Level 1 desired.
• Level II – BS, 4‑9 years experience
  • OCSMP Certification Level 1 or higher desired (with ability to complete OCSMP Level 2 or higher).
• Level III – BS, 10‑15 years experience
  • OCSMP Certification Level 3 desired.
• Level IV – MS, 15+ years experience

Pay

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $110,000 – $195,000 annually. The final offer may consider work experience, education, skill level, market considerations, and any contractual requirements, which could result in an offer outside this range.
