MBR Testifying Expert

Elevate is recruiting Medical Bill Review (MBR) Testifying Experts. These MBR Testifying Experts will have knowledge in billing and coding, and experience in practice management. The MBR Testifying Experts will provide testimony on the reasonable value of past medical bills put forth in the Med Bill Audit based on the Med Legal sources and methodology. Responsibilities & Qualifications Specifically, the MBR Testifying Experts will Provide testimony on the reasonable value of past medical bills put forth in the Med Bill Audit based on the Med Legal sources and methodology.Be knowledgeable of ICD-10, CPT, DRG, APC, or HCPCS Level II coding. ExperienceAt least 5 years in Medical Billing and Coding.Experience in all aspects of medical billing including inpatient, outpatient, professional and ancillary services is desired, but not required.Practice management experience is a plus. Skills For SuccessMust be willing to travel and testify regarding past medical bills.Possess critical thinking and ability to analyze information.Communicate effectively.Are self-disciplined.Enjoy public speaking.Have a willingness to learn. Technical SkillsKnowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, DRG, APC, or HCPCS Level II coding.Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. QualificationsCertified in Medical Billing and Coding.Knowledge, skills, experience, training and education in Medical Billing and Coding who can form an opinion regarding the reasonable value of past medical bills. CompensationMBR Testifying Experts are 1099 contractors paid $40/hour during training, with testimony rates earning up to $300/hour based on assignment and experience.
