MB Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Effectively work and communicate with a team to continuously improve quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity
• Oversee production lines, review downtime causes and be actively involved in issues on the floor by assisting in troubleshooting and problem solving
• Create, maintain and audit Standard Work to ensure process consistency and efficiency
• Develop, mentor and manage manufacturing personnel, ensuring they are properly trained to utilize equipment and tools effectively
• Supervise up to 30+ production hourly employees
• Review, adjust and approve timesheets and adjust work force based on workload
• Promote and maintain clean, safe work area throughout the plant by proactively identifying and addressing the hazardous conditions
• Follow company policy and procedures (safety, quality, productivity, discipline, order, human resources, and continuous improvement)
• Lead production employees in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree or trade, vocation or career schooling a plus
• Must have high school or GED diploma
• 3+ years of supervisor experience in manufacturing
• Quality experience a plus
• Bilingual a plus
• Proficiency in basic math skills
• Excellent communicator, both verbally and written
• Knowledge of machinery and packaging equipment a plus
• Good decision-making skills
• 6-S & Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office
