Mazatrol Lathe Applications Programmer & Setup Specialist

Program at the machine in Mazatrol or G-code and complete end-to-end production setups.

• Install fixtures
• Load tools
• Set tool registers and offsets
• Configure machine control parameters

Run and validate first-piece sample parts before releasing to production.

Continuously monitor machining, identify malfunctions, and make real-time adjustments to stabilize the process.

Verify dimensions and finishes to prints using GD&T requirements.

CAM software:

• Mastercam
• Mazatrol

Equipment familiarity:

• 2-axis CNC lathes
• 3-axis CNC lathes
• 4-axis CNC lathes
• CNC Swiss (Star)

Must-have background:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in a production manufacturing environment; 3–5 years preferred
• G-code and M-code proficiency with strong CNC programming skills
• Proven production setup capability for repeatable runs
• PLC troubleshooting and PLC programming proficiency
• Hands-on experience with Mazak CNC lathes (2–4 axis)
• Comfort with CAM workflows and tools

Great to have:

• Live tooling and Y-axis experience

Quality focus:

• Strong command of GD&T and inspection against prints
• Ownership of machine setups for production runs from first-piece through completion
