About the Role
Snider Fleet Solutions, a leading commercial tire dealer and retread service provider, is seeking a dedicated Maxi Boom OTR Tire Technician to join our team. This role involves working offsite in a company-provided Maxi Boom service truck, servicing customers with all OTR tire and wheel-related needs, including replacing, inspecting, repairing, and mounting/dismounting tires and wheels for construction, earthmoving, mining, agriculture, and other industries.
Responsibilities
- Proper and safe handling of customer equipment and products according to OSHA/MHSA standards.
- Utilize hydraulic jacks, power hoists, lug, and torque wrenches to service customer vehicles.
- Locate punctures in tubeless tires and determine if repair or replacement is needed.
- Safely and efficiently mount/dismount various sizes and types of OTR tires.
- Maintain cleanliness, equipment inventory, and complete paperwork for each job.
- Provide exceptional customer service on job sites and while traveling in company vehicles.
- Travel 75% of the time to various customer and company locations.
- Determine correct tire applications and forecast tire life.
- Follow all safety rules, wear proper PPE, and adhere to TIA standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years old with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
Certificates and Licenses
- Valid Class A or B CDL Driver’s License.
- DOT Medical Certification.
- TIA Level 200 required at onboarding; TIA Level 300 with OTR supplement within 3 months.
- MSHA certification before servicing MSHA mandated sites.
