Matter Information Analyst
Join our dynamic Financial Operations Team as a Matter Information Analyst. This role is pivotal in supporting and enhancing our firm's billing functions by ensuring clients and matters are set up accurately and timely. You will collaborate closely with Attorneys, Practice Assistants (PAs), the Billing Team, and clients to optimize revenue and enhance client satisfaction. This position may be remote, but the successful candidate must reside in a state where we have a physical office.
Responsibilities
- Matter Set Up: Contribute to the beginning-to-end matter lifecycle by accurately setting up clients and matters for billing in line with client-specific guidelines. This includes reviewing InTapp forms for accuracy, ensuring data flows efficiently into Aderant, mapping in Billblast, and managing various e-vendor websites for eBilled matters.
- Data Change Management: Process data changes to matters after set up, including insurance information, bill groups, contact changes, formatting, and matter plans.
- Matters in Pending Status Management: Follow up on matters in review and resubmit status to avoid WIP build-up on matters.
- Control Reports: Analyze and correct items on various reports as needed.
- Issue Resolution: Research and resolve escalated items.
- Team Collaboration: Act as backup for team members out of the office or when SLAs are not being met.
- Effective Communication: Respond promptly, courteously, and professionally to inquiries within shared and personal mailboxes.
- Policy & Procedure Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to established matter information policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 1+ years in legal billing or matter set up (3+ years preferred).
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and filters).
- Working knowledge of Aderant, including bill groups, matter plans, formatting, and insurance-related matters.
- Experience with Billblast and electronic billing systems such as Legal Tracker, LegalX, Collaborati, and TyMetrix.

Pay
The pay range for this remote position varies by location as follows:
- California: $60,112 to $91,406
- Colorado: $64,090 to $82,940
- Connecticut: $64,090 to $86,944
- Illinois: $67,184 to $86,944
- Jersey City, New Jersey: $70,632 to $91,406
- Nevada: $58,256 to $75,390
- Maryland: $60,112 to $82,940
- Massachusetts: $70,632 to $91,406
- Minnesota: $60,112 to $77,792
- New Jersey: $70,632 to $91,406
- New York City, New York: $70,632 to $91,406
- New York State: $58,256 to $91,406

Actual compensation is contingent on relevant experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses.
