Job Summary
Large-scale language models are evolving into powerful engines for scientific discovery. We need your expertise in mathematics, particularly in areas like algebra, calculus, number theory, linear algebra, differential equations, statistics, geometry, mathematical logic, and discrete mathematics, to help train these models.
About the Role
As a Mathematics Specialist, you will challenge advanced language models on topics such as real and complex analysis, optimization theory, mathematical proofs, set theory, probability distributions, cryptographic algorithms, and applied mathematics. Your work will involve documenting every failure mode to improve model reasoning.
Responsibilities
- Converse with the model on classroom problems and theoretical mathematics questions
- Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of responses
- Capture reproducible error traces
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
Requirements
- A master’s or PhD in mathematics or a closely related quantitative field
- Peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, research in pure or applied mathematics, or hands-on experience with mathematical modeling
- Clear, metacognitive communication skills
Qualifications
A strong background in mathematics, fluency in German, and a passion for advancing AI through rigorous mathematical analysis.
