About the Role
Adjunct instructor positions are part-time. Teaching assignments will vary from semester to semester and are based on enrollment. Therefore, there may be semesters where no assignments are available.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
- Prepare and deliver instructional materials (i.e., syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts) in person and/or online.
- Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
- Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
- Participate in required reporting processes (i.e., grades, participation, etc.).
- Assist students in connecting to college resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Education with K-12 math specialization, Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- Eligibility to work in the United States (Jackson College does not support Visa applications).
Unofficial transcripts may be used during the selection process, but official transcripts for all degrees held will be required if selected to teach.
Additional Information
Adjunct instructors are employed by EDUStaff, LLC, except for those receiving a pension from the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System. If selected, you will be required to complete EDUStaff’s employment application and onboarding processes. Final candidates will undergo a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
