Mathematics Adjunct Instructors

Responsibilities

The Department of Mathematics seeks to fill adjunct positions to begin Spring 2027. To build an active pool of qualified applicants, Trident Technical College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty to teach at the Berkeley, Palmer, Dorchester, Mount Pleasant, and Thornley campuses. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching varying schedules at various locations, utilizing technology, and using various teaching methods in instruction. Preference will be given to in-person instructors over asynchronous online classes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in mathematics OR a master's degree with 18 semester credit hours in mathematics at the graduate level.
• Submission of unofficial transcripts with the application.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience at the college level preferred.
• Ability to adapt to an environment that is constantly changing due to advancements in information technology.
• Capable of teaching mathematics courses ranging from beginning algebra to calculus III and differential equations, as well as probability and statistics, discrete mathematics, and contemporary mathematics.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
