About the role
This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Diversion Control Division (DC), UN Reporting & Quota Section (DRQ).
This position's primary purpose is to design, develop, and adapt mathematical methods and techniques and utilizes a number of planning and evaluation activities to ensure the validity of statistical information upon which agency and Federal policy decisions are made in the development, direction and coordination of the Diversion Control effort.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and adapt mathematical methods and techniques to statistical processes
- Ensure the validity of statistical data for policy decisions and resource allocation
- Prepare complex technical reports, presentations and statistical materials based on data collected and analyzed
- Conduct research, collect data, reduce findings to facts, and interpret and document findings
- Use mathematical and statistical measures/models to resolve problems and make recommendations
- Defend/explain conclusions resulting from evaluation of data
- Evaluate the precision and validity of estimates and investigate sources and magnitude of error in data
