Math Teacher (Grades 6–12)

The Role

Masters Academy International is seeking a dynamic and experienced Math Teacher to join our team in Grades 6–12. The ideal candidate will inspire students to think like mathematicians, fostering both conceptual understanding and practical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead students in grades 6–12 to think and function as mathematicians
• Design and facilitate collaborative learning experiences
• Guide class discussions and small-group tutorials
• Provide one-on-one support to help students articulate reasoning, defend solutions, and engage in meaningful mathematical debate
• Support students in using AI as a tool for independent learning and problem-solving
• Communicate proactively to support each student’s academic growth and personal development

Requirements

• Experience teaching middle and high school math
• Ability to foster deep understanding and a love for mathematical thinking
• Use of technology and AI to personalize learning and support student problem-solving
• Understanding or eagerness to learn about the unique demands of student-athletes
• A strong sense of ownership, humility, and collaboration
• Able to approach challenges with courage, integrity, adaptability, and a lifelong commitment to learning
• View assessment as a tool for growth, helping students learn from errors and refine their mathematical thinking

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mathematics or related field
• Teaching certification in relevant subject area
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
