ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified 6th-12th Grade Math Teacher at Thompson School for Girls in Cleveland, Ohio, dedicated to providing a superior education for all students. Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans, modifying as needed during the school year
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction
• Manage student behavior and create a positive classroom environment
• Implement school-approved curricula reflecting diverse backgrounds
• Enforce school-wide culture expectations and norms
• Communicate with families about students’ academic and social-emotional growth
• Incorporate technology to support learning
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Active and current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
• Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, and progress monitoring
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage confidential information
• Ability to supervise students in various school settings
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working within an urban environment preferred

Pay

The salary range for this position is $41,000 - $50,500. Factors affecting starting pay include geography, skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
