Math Teacher for the 2026/2027 School Year

Location: Catalina Foothills High School, 4300 East Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718. Available July 2026.

About the role

Responsible for challenging all students to achieve their personal best through rigorous, engaging, innovative instruction that develops skills and knowledge for lifelong learning and responsible citizenship. Implements the District’s philosophy of education and instructional goals, guiding the learning process toward curriculum goals and establishing clear student performance objectives.

Responsibilities

• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and communicate objectives to students.
• Assess students to determine whether desired performance objectives are being achieved.
• Evaluate student accomplishments conscientiously and fairly, providing progress reports as required.
• Maintain accurate permanent academic and attendance records for students.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis.
• Attend and participate in general faculty and department meetings.
• Assist in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, Mathematics, or related Science field.
• Arizona Department of Education Secondary Teaching Certificate with Math Certification.
• Knowledge of Teaching Mathematics & Science; Educational Psychology of Learning & Development; School Organization & Technology of Teaching; and Philosophical Basis of Education.
• Proof of authorization to work in the U.S. if hired.

Pay

$64,920 per year, minimum 40 hours per week.
