About the role

Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Math Teacher at Canyon State Academy in Queen Creek, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Implement and adhere to the principles of Positive Operational Culture
• Provide instructional services to students
• Work collaboratively with staff in a supportive fashion
• Earn a teaching credential in Math, Science, or Special Education
• Have related experience working with at-risk youth
• Possess knowledge of instructional strategies and learning methodologies
• Employ effective classroom management techniques and behavioral management styles
• Communicate effectively with students and staff
• Use technology as an educational tool
• Establish a teaching rapport with students
• Diagnose, prescribe, and evaluate student progress
• Collaborate with staff to deliver a consistent curriculum
• Confront inappropriate behavior appropriately
• Accept additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Current and valid State teaching credential in Math, Science, or Special Education
• Three or more years of successful classroom teaching experience
• Knowledge of instructional strategies and learning methodologies
• Effective classroom management and behavioral management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
• Experience using technology as an educational tool
• Ability to establish a teaching rapport with students
• Ability to diagnose, prescribe, and evaluate student progress
• Ability to collaborate with staff to deliver a consistent curriculum
• Ability to confront inappropriate behavior appropriately

Qualifications

• Pass a criminal background clearance check
• Pass a drug screen
• Pass a physical exam
• Pass a TB test

Schedule
