Math Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging math instruction aligned with state curriculum standards
• Develop and adapt individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
• Assess and track student progress in mathematical understanding
• Cookordination with therapists and support staff to integrate academic goals with therapeutic practices
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging student participation and interaction
• Maintain clear and constructive communication with students, parents, and team members
• Provide additional support and resources to help students overcome academic challenges
• Oversight teaching assistants to provide individualized academic instruction for each student

Requirements

• Able to pass criminal investigation background checks
• Able to pass motor vehicle record checks
• Current Utah driver's license (required within 30 days of employment)
• 1st Aid & CPR certified (training provided)
• Aegis certified (training provided)
• Valid Utah teaching license in secondary mathematics
• Prior teaching experience, particularly with middle and high school students, is preferred
• Experience in therapeutic settings or with at-risk youth is a plus

Pay

Salary based on experience.
