The Opportunity

Instructors will deliver high-quality instruction in a small school setting, empowering students to take control of their learning and contribute to the school's continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
- Establish a culture of high expectations, including shared beliefs about student college attendance
- Develop and implement lesson plans and classroom activities aligned with California State Standards and Aspire Instructional Guidelines
- Absorb and refine classroom instruction based on regular assessments and student needs
- Communicate regularly with students and families, involving them as partners in their child’s education
- Identify and address unique student needs collaboratively with team members
- Participate in professional development activities and work closely with lead teachers, principal, and instructional coaches
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a math-related subject area
- California teaching authorization in math-related subject area required
- 1+ year of experience working with students as a teacher, teacher intern, or teaching assistant preferred
- Knowledge of subject matter, including State Standards and subject-specific frameworks
- Understanding of child cognitive development and various learning styles
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data
- Willingness to reflect and improve instructional practices
