The Opportunity

Instructors will deliver high-quality instruction in a small school setting, empowering students to take control of their learning and contribute to the school's continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

• Establish a culture of high expectations, including shared beliefs about student college attendance
• Develop and implement lesson plans and classroom activities aligned with California State Standards and Aspire Instructional Guidelines
• Absorb and refine classroom instruction based on regular assessments and student needs
• Communicate regularly with students and families, involving them as partners in their child’s education
• Identify and address unique student needs collaboratively with team members
• Participate in professional development activities and work closely with lead teachers, principal, and instructional coaches

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a math-related subject area
• California teaching authorization in math-related subject area required
• 1+ year of experience working with students as a teacher, teacher intern, or teaching assistant preferred
• Knowledge of subject matter, including State Standards and subject-specific frameworks
• Understanding of child cognitive development and various learning styles
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data
• Willingness to reflect and improve instructional practices
