Math Teacher

Willmar Public Schools is seeking a Math Teacher for the Prairie Lakes Education Center and Lake Park School, which provide educational services to students residing at the Prairie Lakes Youth Program. The program is designed to meet students where they are, offering flexible, personalized pathways toward graduation in a structured, supportive setting.

About the role

Teachers deliver both whole-group instruction and individualized coursework, including credit recovery opportunities.

• Whole-Group Courses: Focused instruction within a subject area where students engage in collaborative learning. Staff incorporate whole-group instruction regularly, whether weekly or during specific units of study.
• Individualized Courses & Credit Recovery: Personalized learning experiences tailored to each student’s academic needs. Students may work independently—with strong teacher guidance—to complete required coursework or recover credits. Teachers may utilize the school district's online learning platform and/or develop customized paper-and-pencil materials.

Qualifications

• Must have a MN Teaching License in the associated role
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree
• Must be able to pass a background check

Pay

Based upon credentials including education and experience as per the Teacher Master agreement.

• Bachelor’s Degree Range: $52,870 to $85,544
• Master’s Degree Range: $60,558 to $91,310
• Master’s + 40/PhD/PsyS/EdS/EdD Range: $68,246 to $93,232

Schedule

• Hours Per Day: 7.5
• Daily Schedule (Approximately): 7:15am - 3:15pm
• Working Days per Year: 182 (2026-2027 School Year)
