Math Teacher- 9th Grade On-Track Summer Bridge Program

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Summer Bridge Program Teacher helps rising ninth-grade students successfully transition to high school through academic enrichment, skill development, and student engagement.

Typical Duties And Responsibilities

• Ability to improve students' understanding of math for rising 9th graders who have struggled in the past.
• Ability to differentiate and scaffold math instruction.
• Provide real life, community-based math-focused understanding of math credits needed for graduation.
• Develop math-skill-improvement action plan with resources.
• Understanding teenage developmental markers.
• Able to engage students to improve their own math learning profile.

Minimum Qualification

valid CT CSDE Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)

SALARY

$41/hour
