Responsibilities
- Cultivate a professional learning environment for all students.
- Be familiar with and adhere to the policies outlined in the Student and Faculty Handbooks.
- Prepare all necessary materials before each class session.
- Comply with departmental policies regarding equipment maintenance and reporting.
- Ensure student evaluations are conducted and submitted to the Registrar without faculty member's view.
- Provide assistance to the Financial Aid office as needed.
- Keep detailed records of attendance, tests, and student work.
- Accurately record attendance on official rosters and submit after each class meeting.
- Submit daily absence sheets to the Registrar after each class meeting.
- Accurately record and submit grades and grade breakdowns on official grade reports.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness at the end of each hour or day, including cleaning boards, turning off equipment, straightening furniture, locking doors, and turning off lights.
- Distribute the course syllabus at the beginning of each class and review it with students.
- Attend Faculty meetings and In-Service programs at least once per quarter, and engage in professional development opportunities.
- Report all activities in the Annual Faculty Development Plan.
Requirements
- Masters Degree required.
- Experience in post-secondary education preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience preferred.
