About the role
Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) is seeking a Math Curriculum Developer to expand and refine our Beast Academy curriculum for motivated elementary school students. The ideal candidate will also help advance the state of the art in online course delivery and develop or refine specialty courses for very advanced math students.
Responsibilities
- Create courses, lessons, activities, games, and puzzles for delivery in AoPS Academy learning centers and AoPS Online School.
- Design and refine curricular materials to inspire and train future problem solvers.
- Engage with teachers to design and deliver engaging and rigorous classroom experiences.
Requirements
- Strong passion for math through teaching or doing mathematics.
- Experience guiding motivated students through mathematical explorations.
- Strong mathematical foundations and enjoyment of solving puzzles.
- Intuition and conviction about inspiring and training future problem solvers.
- Ability to write effectively and creatively.
- Experience with elementary or middle school math contests.
Qualifications
- Elementary or middle school math contest experience preferred.
- Strong classroom experience as a teacher or student.
- Passion for sharing the love and understanding of mathematics with eager learners.
Skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to design and implement innovative educational materials.

Pay
The full salary range for this role is $78,000 - $100,000.
Schedule
This full-time role follows a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week. Based at our headquarters in San Diego, CA.
