Math and Reading Interventionist

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Math/ELA Certification (preferred)
• Bilingual (preferred)
• Work experience with students preferred
• Must demonstrate strong academic skills in Math and Reading

Responsibilities

• Support and train students on how to be successful in all subjects
• Serve as the first line of support for student concerns, including supporting students in accessing coursework, with overcoming academic struggles, and supporting students who need assistance accessing academic supports
• Maintain documentation of student performance on improvement plans and make recommendations to Campus Director and Core subject teachers for next steps
• Monitor students’ academic performance and engagement for students on caseload
• Guide students who are struggling in setting individual goals and developing improvement plans
• Regularly call students and parents to discuss student overall academic performance, overall attendance, and growth toward achieving academic improvement goals
• Meet regularly with students one-on-one to discuss growth toward goals
• Provide essential individualized communications to students and parents
• Attend team meetings as needed
• Provide educational guidance and assistance for students
