Math and Reading Instructor

About the Role

Gideon Math & Reading is looking for a friendly, helpful, and reliable person who loves working with children. As a math and reading instructor, you will be thoroughly trained to work with students ages 4 to 13 using Gideon’s curriculum and methods.

Responsibilities

• Stay positive, encouraging, and professional with students
• Grade work done by students in their pre-assigned booklets using provided answer keys
• Answer questions for students and guide them toward independent learning with techniques such as sounding out words and rereading stories or directions

Qualifications

• Enjoy working with children
• Be patient and organized
• Love seeing others succeed and helping them reach that success
• Notice details, such as misspellings, math errors, or careful checking of work
• Be comfortable handling multiple tasks and projects

No prior experience is necessary.
