About the role

As a math and reading instructor, you will be thoroughly trained to work with students ranging in age from 4 to 15, using Gideon Math & Reading's curriculum and methods. Gideon is passionate about building a child’s confidence to show them what is possible with extra math and reading practice.

Responsibilities

• Stay positive, encouraging, and professional with students
• Using our answer keys, grade work done by students in their pre-assigned booklets
• Answer questions for students and guide them to independent learning with techniques like sounding out words and rereading of the story or directions

Skills

• Enjoy working with children
• Be patient and organized
• Love seeing others succeed and helping them reach that success
• Notice details, such as misspellings, math errors, or careful checking of work
• Be comfortable handling multiple tasks and projects
