Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking Entry Level and experienced Materials Technicians in our Fullerton, Torrance, Carson, and City of Industry locations. Responsibilities
- Under supervision, expedite the flow of work orders through the manufacturing process according to production and shipping schedules, inform the status of orders and any situations affecting the production schedule.
- Receiving and stocking all raw materials
- Moving raw materials throughout the manufacturing process as needed to maintain production schedules.
- Review production schedule, schedule change notices, and reports or records of the status of work orders to identify any production delays.
- Follow up on special requests or work orders from production supervisors to support departments to ensure communications of such requests, and to identify anticipated or actual delays in the delivery of resources or support services to production department.
- Perform physical counts of products/components in the manufacturing process or in storage as needed to assist in inventory audits.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent 1-2 years of Expeditor experience in the aerospace industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be computer savvy and learn company proprietary software programs
- Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately, multi-task, and work well under pressure with changing priorities
Benefits/Salary
The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $21.00 to $26.00 per hour.
