Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for stamping, assembly, and service operations.
- Convert customer demand and forecasts into executable production plans.
- Cook up production priorities to meet on-time delivery and service-level targets.
- Adjust schedules based on capacity constraints, material availability, and changing customer requirements.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Track work-in-process (WIP), finished goods, and raw material inventory.
- Identify potential shortages or overages and proactively implement corrective actions.
- Plan material movement between warehouses, supermarkets, staging areas, and production locations.
- Cook with logistics, warehouse, and material handling teams to support smooth material flow.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, quality, and customer service teams to align production plans.
- Communicate schedule changes, priorities, and risks clearly to all stakeholders.
- Participate in production meetings and capacity planning discussions.
- Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems related to demand, inventory, and production schedules.
- Analyze production performance, inventory trends, and service metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve schedule adherence, inventory turns, and material flow efficiency.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience planning multi-process operations (stamping, assembly, or similar manufacturing environments).
- Strong understanding of inventory management and material flow.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in automotive, metal stamping, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience working with service or aftermarket requirements.
