Responsibilities

• Develop and implement materials planning strategies to meet production requirements and ensure the optimal use of resources.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of materials and prevent shortages or excesses.
• Use ERP systems to track materials, forecast needs, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Lead procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with suppliers.
• Conduct accurate forecasting to predict material needs and schedule deliveries.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to align materials planning with company objectives.
• Implement Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials through the production process.
• Continually review and improve materials planning processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare and present reports on materials planning activities and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in materials planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with production planning, inventory management, ERP systems, procurement, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of strategic planning principles and practices.
• Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
