Materials Mgr. (OR/Procedural)

Role Purpose
The Materials Manager oversees the material flow of goods within the Hospital Supply Office (HSO), supporting the distribution team and collaborating with supply chain and clinical staff to improve forecasting and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, and develops professional development plans for team members.
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, and responds to changes affecting budget goals.
- Maintains inventory levels to meet service targets and working capital goals, coordinating with sourcing and usage management teams.
- Provides input on reducing inventory costs through data analysis and strategic inventory rebalancing.
- Collaborates on carrier management strategies and develops long-term transportation plans.
- Utilizes supply chain concepts like forecasting, EOQ, ROP, and safety stock to achieve operational goals.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-10 years of experience as a supervisor
- Preferred: 10+ years of supervisor experience
