Materials Mgmt Analyst I

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate material quantities are incorporated during the proposal phase, including engineering samples, testing samples, and production materials.
• Audit material quantities in relation to manufactured output to determine component utilization and yield.
• Develop comprehensive and precise cost estimates based on supplier proposals received.
• Evaluate BOM for sourcing, identifying and selecting the most qualified and reliable suppliers for each component.
• Apply critical thinking daily to optimize operational efficiency and process effectiveness.
• Review historical pricing data to ensure accuracy and relevance in current proposal estimates.
• Cook up resolution of obsolescence issues between suppliers and Engineering, identifying suitable replacement or alternative parts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charting, and macros (preferred).
• Eligibility to access technology, materials, software, or hardware controlled by U.S. export laws.
• Ability to expedite and negotiate supplier proposals efficiently.
