Materials Mgmt Analyst I
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate material quantities are incorporated during the proposal phase, including engineering samples, testing samples, and production materials.
- Audit material quantities in relation to manufactured output to determine component utilization and yield.
- Develop comprehensive and precise cost estimates based on supplier proposals received.
- Evaluate BOM for sourcing, identifying and selecting the most qualified and reliable suppliers for each component.
- Apply critical thinking daily to optimize operational efficiency and process effectiveness.
- Review historical pricing data to ensure accuracy and relevance in current proposal estimates.
- Cook up resolution of obsolescence issues between suppliers and Engineering, identifying suitable replacement or alternative parts as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charting, and macros (preferred).
- Eligibility to access technology, materials, software, or hardware controlled by U.S. export laws.
- Ability to expedite and negotiate supplier proposals efficiently.
